Each year, to commemorate Remembrance Day, the Woburn Drama Department organizes a Remembrance Day Assembly. In years past, we have been honoured by the involvement of many community members, including Canadian soldiers back from different tours to share their stories and memories.
The Grade 12 piece for Remembrance Day 2006 was an interpretive dance that explored the emotions of those family members left behind by soldiers who died in battle.

Each year, Woburn Student Council organize a Charity Week, where the whole school is involved in raising money for a chosen charity. Each year, Charity week is kicked off with an assembly introducing the topic and sharing with the student body what charity will be our focus for the year.
Although the Spirit Week assembly is usually scheduled in March before the break, this year's assembly was cancelled due to much anticipated and much-needed repairs to the lighting and electrical system in the auditorium. Although we lost out on an assembly, the auditorium looks incredible and our new lighting is amazing! Here is the piece we would have performed if this assembly had gone forward...

This year, the Woburn dancers were invited to the Pine Ridge Dace Jamboree, a Durham region festival celebrating dance in the community. Although Woburn isn't a part of the immediate community, our dancers and the dancers at Pine Ridge got to meet and mingle at the Kiwanis Dance festival and wanted a chance to dance together again!. Here is a video of the grade 12 dance at Pine Ridge:
