Reading this book will give a better understanding on race and how American communities made everything segregated. I read this book in one of my history classes and it truly made me think about America and how I did not learn any of this in high school. I had no idea redlining and other segregation things happened.
Overall, when I am teaching history in the classroom I am going to incorporate all races. Instead of focusing on European culture, I want to focus on other cultures in order to give my students a better understanding of the world. It is so important that children and students understand the full story.
