For my sustained investigation I studied what the relationship is between a place and the people it attracts.
I spent the semester capturing photos from an assortment of different places with people as the subjects. I tried to take photos that captured how people act, feel, or present themselves in relation to their surroundings.
My favorite photo is probably the last one of the crowds on the escalators. Not necessarily because of the appearance of the photo, more so because of its correspondence to my question. I find it so fascinating how everyone in the photo would rather wait on a overpopulated escalator than walk up a short flight of stairs. I think this says a lot about the human race as a whole and also ties in with the background. You can see the very modern city filled with designer stores that these people are walking about. This high tech and bougie area definitely attracts a certain lazy almost cattle like crowd.
