About Me

My name is Sophie Bradford, I was born in Maine and have a sister, a dog, and a cat. I enjoy spending time with friends and family in my free time. Many people would describe me as friendly, kind, and fun. I don't have a certain career that I have my heart set on, I don't like thinking about that and will to figure it out when the time comes. Whatever it is that I decide on, I plan to do a whole lot of traveling before settling down to pursue it. My neighbor who I spend a lot of time with went to college for art, she works at llbean at the moment but still does a whole lot of artsy projects on her own time. I enrolled in photo 2 because photography is very interesting to me and I really enjoyed photo 1. Some photographers that intrigue me most are Helen Sear and Jim Goldberg.

Helen Sear, Flatbread Rococo, 151cm x 110cm

I was drawn to this photo because I just find it very nice to look at. The pink background along with the dainty little ferns is just so pleasant.

Paul Strand, Wire Wheel, 1917

I was drawn to this photo because I liked the simplicity of it. I also like how up close it is because it makes viewers think and use their imagination when it come to defining the subject.

Walker Evans, Lunchroom Window, 1929

I was drawn to this photo because I like how it captures a moment. It is a very nice depiction of an everyday happening which I love.

Brian Wood, Heka, 24x20 in 2023

I was drawn to this painting because of how abstract it is. Along with the fun colors, the fact that the longer you look at it the more you see is so fascinating.

Bill Owens, Suburbia

I was drawn to this photograph because of the humor behind it. The irony of the young child on his tricycle carrying a gun makes it very intriguing and comical.
