Surrealism

For this projects we had to create a collage out of scraps of paper, and then create a painting based off of that collage, either exactly or just for inspiration. For my project I didn't want to just do an image, I wanted to do something with more meaning to me and something a little more deeper. So I picked out my color scheme (blue/green) and then I went through magazines trying to find words that stood out to me and I could use. 

For the actual collage I only used magazine scraps, plus some pieces of paper tore out of a wallpaper sample book. 

My process was pretty straight foreward in this project, I knew I wanted to do my collage out of a certian colore theme, with words of inspiration or words I liked on top. The only major changes I did between the beginning and end of my project was the addition of the border after I started painting, and the removal of the word "peace" from my finished product.
