Colored Pencil, Watercolor, and Ink on Watercolor Paper

The assignment of this project was; to take a picture of various pieces of candy, the main object of this assignment was to layer the colors and create realistic shadows. So I tried to make my final project match the reference drawing as much as possible.

For this project I only used colored pencils, layering colors and shades to match as needed.

My process for this project was fairly simple, I didn't change anything in my reference picture or changed candy at all. I chose to use colored pencils because orignally I thought colored pencils would be easiest to get the right color and shade while it also looked good. However something that was a challenge to me was getting the right deep purple/blue for the nerds box. This is because I didn't have a dark purple or the right shade and color to create such a deep shade that is originally on the box.
