Artist Statement

The idea that guided my artwork was a hot dog with a side of dirty socks and a bowling ball.

My work was made with art paper (9''x 12''), and a graphite mechanical pencil.  

I started this peice by looking at reference photos for each object, such as the bowling ball and hotdog, because I wanted to have an idea of how everything looked in 2D. I then began to sketch, it took me a few tries to figure out how I wanted it to look, but once I got it it was pretty easy to complete. I started with the bowling ball, then the hot dog, then I added the ketchup and mustard, and then added the socks. The paper still had a lot of white space so to fill it, I added a plate and a table.
