The main idea behind my artwork is a city, which I came up with because before cities were cities, they were full of nature, or at least they were one day, so to me the leaves represented what was there before.

The materials I used were a graphite #2 mechanical pencil, a Sharpie gel pen, and bristol board.

As for the process, I started by sketching out my leaves, and once I was finished I made sure there were no overlapping lines, then went over the leaves with a pen. I then started on my background which I decided to draw as a city, I sketched the buildings then added detail.  I wanted to add some contrast, so I shaded in some buildings. I think this also gives the drawing more depth. The last thing I did was clean up any lines by erasing and going over them with a ruler.

The main idea behind my artwork was to create a zentangle out of squiggly lines.

The materials I used were a mechanical graphite pencil, sharpie gel pen, and art paper 3'' x 12''.

I started by making sure the rectangles were of even width by using a ruler, and sketched the lines with pencil. Once I made sure the lines were straight I went over them with pen. I then started the design for the zentangle with pen and started making lines that got more dense each rectangle.
