Artist Statement

The main idea that guided my artwork was the landscape of a lake. The materials I used were pastel paper charcoal, and ink. I also used graphite pencil to graph the paper. I began this art by graphing the paper in a way that was proportional to the picture I chose. I then began working on the sunset, and erasing the pencil lines as I drew. I paid attention to the shade of the original image and added white and black charcoal to match it. There wasn't really an order to which I created this, however I added the ink details in last.
