Artist Statement

The idea that guided my artwork was circles. The materials I used for this were canvas and acrylic paint. To make this artwork, I started off by drawing out all of the circles that I needed to achieve the amount of colors required, as I intended on each circle being a different color. However, I ended up going over all of them with gray paint. Once the gray paint dried, I realized I made it too dark, so I made a lighter shade of gray to paint over the too-dark shade. I started to recreate all the circles again by outlining them in white paint, then painted over them with the various colors. I then attempted to clean up the lines with more gray paint.
