Zoomed Shoe

Artist Statement

For this, I wanted to make something that would look really cool, and I decided upon drawing this as if the shoelace was the supports for a bridge and you were viewing a city from behind said bridge. I used a graphite pencil to make the shoelaces, then went over it with a gel pen. I then made the city, using watercolors for the water, a gel pen for the submarine, and markers for everything else.
