Week 3 RA Interviews
Valeria H., a recent graduate with a Computer Science degree, is an RA for
Cluster 13 (Crystalline Quantum Materials (QCM): Intersections Between Physics,
Chemistry, and Materials Science), who started at COSMOS in her 3rd year of
college after wanting to experience UCSC more and be a greater part of
campus. Her favorite memories here include leading paint night during evening
activities and hearing all the cluster chants for being able to experience
COSMOS spirit. Valeria enjoys hanging out with friends and going to the beach
in her free time, and her favorite movie is Disney’s Lilo and Stitch. For the
students here, her advice is always to explore and try new things, since it could
be the only chance you get.
An RA for Cluster 3 (Making an Animal: Development and Bioinformatics), Sana
R. is going into her third year here at UCSC as a Technology and Information
Management major. She started here because she needed something fun to do
over the summer, and COSMOS stood out as an exciting and interesting
opportunity. Her favorite activities that she has led so far are the ones related
to arts and crafts, such as making frames, perfumes, and bracelets. Sana’s
favorite COSMOS memory was kayaking at the beach, where she had a lot of fun
with her cluster. Her hobbies include listening to music, drawing, and hanging
out with friends, and Om Shanti Om is her favorite movie. Sana’s advice for
COSMOS students is to not miss out on anything you might regret not having
been involved in and avoid stressing out too much about school.
