Be ready to test your flexibility, creativity, and perseverance
The most important thing you can do is be aware and structure your day to make sure you are taking care of yourself and your school work. Try to establish a routine. If you can follow a routine each day, you will feel better and more importantly look better.
Class Overview
7th grade health will emphasis resolving conflicts, building healthy relationships, personal health choices, the environment and your health.
We utilize primary and secondary sources to develop a greater understanding of the importance of making healthy choices. Students will develop the ability to think more critically and express their ideas and understanding in various formats.
While looking at our daily health is important, it is equally important to be aware of what is currently happening in our world. We will periodically discuss current events and how they relate to the bigger world.
Educator roles in contributing to the Health Education goal include:
-Teaching functional health information (essential concepts)
-Helping students determine personal values that support healthy behaviors
-Helping students develop group norms that value a healthy lifestyle
-Helping students develop the essential skills necessary to adopt, practice, and maintain health-enhancing behavior
