What We Are Doing
What We Are Learning (Targets and Objectives)
Daily Core Values: Being Open-Minded, Respectful, Responsible, Committed, and Safe.
Lesson Targets: Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Enjoyment and Challenge, Building Skills
Skill Practice: I will move in open space while performing movements and holding positions with control, accuracy, and balance. I will perform movements with the beat and tempo of the music.
Concept Knowledge: I will recognize the effects of physical activity on my body while identifying which muscles and body parts are being used to create the movements and/or poses. I will sequence and perform dance movements in a creative dance with the correct rhythm and in a pattern.
Fitness: I will dance and play vigorously to elevate my heart rate and improve my cardiorespiratory endurance. I will work to increase my muscular endurance by holding different positions with control. I will stay actively engaged during the dance to help improve my overall fitness level.
Personal & Social Responsibility: I will follow the rules and etiquette of dance so that everyone stays safe and has fun. I will accept differences among my peers and cooperate in small groups to develop a dance.
