English Language Arts
Students in English Language Arts will learn about and practice a wide variety of narrative, argument, and informative writing and reading. Students will also learn about the effective and ethical use of technology and the importance of avoiding plagiarism. We will read both nonfiction and fiction literature, exploring novels, magazines, websites, news articles, essays, poetry, short stories, and drama. Students will speak, listen, inquire, present, collaborate, read, and write. We will also have direct instruction and occasional assessments in grammar and vocabulary. I am here to help each and every child learn and grow in confidence, fluency, and focus.
