Self-advocacy involves the ability to effectively express, communicate, and stand up for one’s own interests, needs, and goals.
Self-determination means that individuals with disabilities have the right to make choices about their own lives, pursue what matters most to them, and access the same opportunities as others in their communities.
Peer mentoring
Instruction in disability disclosure, self-awareness, accommodations, responsibilities (ADA and Employment Laws), goal setting and decision making
