Pre-ETS are short-term, coordinated activities designed to help students with disabilities transition from school to postsecondary education or employment. They provide an early start to career exploration and preparation for adult life, focusing on five key areas: job exploration, work-based learning, postsecondary counseling, workplace readiness, and self-advocacy.
Pre-ETS are offered to students with disabilities who are either eligible or potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation services. These students must be:
in a secondary, post-secondary, orther recognized education program
between 15-21 years old,
eligible for and receiving special educaiton services under an IEP; or
recognized as an individual with a disability under section 504 of the ADA
Pre-ETS is mission control - helping students prepare for lauch into the world of work and independence. Through career exploration, job readiness training, and work based learning experiences, young explorers are equipped with the tools they need to navigate their future and reach new heights.
