The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) believes that anyone with a disability who wants to work, can work, regardless of the type or severity of their disability. DVR provides a wide variety of individualized services for people with disabilities to allow them to reach their employment goals and live independently.
These services can include pre-employment transition services (Pre-ETS), vocational guidance and counseling, short or long term training, job seeking skills, job development and job coaching, assistive technology and needed accommodations to participate with DVR and on the job. DVR’s vocational rehabilitation counselors have specific expertise in the medical and psychological aspects of disabilities and work holistically to support individuals in employment, community participation and living independently.
DVR works collaboratively with secondary and postsecondary educational agencies on both statewide and local levels. These relationships help to streamline services and supports for students and individuals with disabilities of all ages.
