From the Events screen within the EpiTrax Surveillance System, you can establish filters to view events available to you based on your user roles and privileges.Â
1. DASHBOARD LINK (EpiTrax Logo)
Clicking the EpiTrax Logo navigates back to the User Dashboard from any screen.
2. USER GREETING
The greeting name is the name in the General User Information Form in SETTINGS.
3. APPLICATION MENU
Menu options vary based on implementation and user access.
4. EVENT VIEW CONTROLS
Use dropdown to Search Events via saved views or Add Event View with Options.
5. BULK WORKFLOW CONTROLS
Select from dropdown then click Apply Workflow to Apply Bulk Workflow to Events.
6. EVENT VIEW CRITERIA AREA
Includes numerous fields and menus to customize and Add Event Views.
7. ADD VIEW BUTTON
Click to Save information in the Event View Criteria Area as a new event view.
8. MORE OPTIONS BUTTON (Event View)
Click to update or delete an event view.
9. RESULTS PAGINATION (Page Navigation)
Allows navigation by page when section result rows exceed a single screen.
10. EVENT SELECTION CHECKBOXES
Click to select events, then choose and Apply Bulk Workflow to Events.
11. EVENT VIEW SEARCH RESULTS
Displays records returned by search that match the currently selected event view.
12. OPTIONS BUTTON (Individual Event)
Provides options to Edit Event, Print, or Edit Person Record tied to the event.
13. FLOW BUTTON (Individual Event)
Has options to Accept Event, Route to LPHA, Not Investigate, or View History.
14. EVENT BRIEF NOTE CONTROLS
Type a note in the field and click Save to add a note to the event without opening it.

Searching Events using the preconfigured Event Views in the EpiTrax Events Screen is as simple as clicking a user-created option from a dropdown menu.
Click EVENTS from the Application Menu
This step takes you to the Events Screen in EpiTrax.
Select the desired Event View from the Current View dropdown
Options in this menu reflect previously saved custom Event Views.
EpiTrax features the ability to create and save highly customizable views that can be used to quickly access all occurrences of events in the system that match the specified criteria for that event view.
Click EVENTS from the Application Menu
This step takes you to the Events Screen in EpiTrax.
Click the Options button
Clicking Options toggles the visibility of the Event View Criteria Area.
Click the + Add View button
This step reveals a required section that will name your event view.
Fill out the desired fields in the Event View Criteria Area
Click the Save button
Once you save, you can Edit Event View details later if needed.
Select the Event View from the Current View dropdown to use
This dropdown is not available until at least one event view is created.
Once an Event View is created, users have the ability to edit that View (change criteria or filters if needed) or delete it.

This step takes you to the Events Screen in EpiTrax.
Click the Options button
Clicking Options toggles the visibility of the Event View Criteria Area.
Select the desired Event View from the Current View dropdown
This dropdown is not available until at least one event view is created.
Edit the desired fields in the Event View Criteria Area
Click the More Options button
This button reveals multiple additional options for the event view.
Select Update current view
This step will save any changes made to the selected event view.
EpiTrax allows users to apply a Workflow to Events in bulk from the Events Screen.
Click EVENTS from the Application Menu
This step takes you to the Events Screen in EpiTrax.
Select the desired option from the Bulk Workflow dropdown
All Bulk Workflows come preconfigured with EpiTrax and cannot be edited.
Click the boxes next to the desired result rows to select them
The second screenshot shows the first result row checkbox selected.
Clicking the checkbox at the very top of the column selects all events.
Click the Apply Workflow button
This step cannot be undone.
Important Note:
Some Workflow statuses can only be applied in a certain order. The order typically follows Accepted by LPHA > Assign to Investigator > Accept Investigation > Complete Investigation > Approve Event. If users have cases under Assigned to LPHA that do not warrant investigation, then the Do Not Investigate workflow can be applied. For cases that have their status as Assigned to Investigator, Under Investigation, or Investigation Complete, users can select the Approve Event option.
