The Clinical Tab in the CMR is where diagnosis, mortality, treatment and vaccine data is displayed. Vaccine data can be obtained using your state’s Immunization Information System (IIS) if a matching patient is found in that system, and that IIS is linked to EpiTrax.
What do the different visit types / hospital types mean?
Inpatient Visit
Description: This type of visit is for patients who require admission to a hospital for an extended period.
Use Case: Document details of patients staying in the hospital for ongoing care or treatment.
Observation Visit
Description: For patients under observation without formal admission, typically for a shorter duration to assess their condition.
Use Case: Capture information about patients being monitored before a decision is made for further action.
Outpatient Visit
Description: Tailored for patients receiving medical services without the need for an overnight stay.
Use Case: Record details of consultations, tests, or treatments provided to patients not requiring hospitalization.
Unknown Visit
Description: Use when the visit type is not immediately clear or yet to be determined.
Use Case: Temporarily categorize visits until more information is available or a specific type can be assigned.

5. WORKFLOW SECTION
Options in this area vary based on the current state of the record.
6. CMR RECORD HEADER SECTION
Contains Record ID, as well as other important data about the record.
7. BRIEF RECORD NOTE TOOLS
Allows you to add and save a quick note to the record.
8. CMR RECORD TABS SECTION
All available tabs for the record display here. Click a tab to view its data.
9. CMR CLINICAL DATA AREA
Try to update as much information as possible during investigations.
10. + FACILITY / CLINICIAN BUTTON
Click to add new Facility and/or Provider (Clinician) data to the record.
Select match from dropdown menu. If a new facility or provider needs
to be added, you must contact your system administrator.
11. + TREATMENT BUTTON
Click to add new treatment data to the record.
12. + VACCINE BUTTON
Click to add new vaccine data to the record. This can be done manually
or automatically if linked to an immunization information system.
