Now What?

We have made so many changes in our lives in order to keep ourselves and loved ones safe from the current situation. Now what? We are in a holding pattern. Just waiting can feel suffocating and scary. The attached article from the ParentCue talks about how God is working in the dark. I think it's appropriate for these times.

Though the dark seems empty, it’s not. It’s actually where the most important work begins.

God always does His best work in the dark.

Hang in there. We are all thinking of you all.

St. Albert Bus Registration

(For Junior Kindergarten - Eighth Grade, 2020-2021 School year)

PLEASE COMPLETE NO LATER THAN MAY 29TH.

THIS INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO COMPILE ROUTES AS WELL AS EMERGENCY CONTACT LISTS.

Once we have determined the number of buses needed, we can provide a more accurate cost per family. At this time, we will not be collecting a deposit.

JK RIDERS: In order for a junior kindergarten student to ride the bus, Miller Transportation requires them to be accompanied by a sibling.

NOTE: Miller Transportation has asked that this year we make a firm cutoff date of May 29th. After this date we will no longer be accepting registrations. Families can be added later in the summer only if they can be accommodated on an existing route. As in the past, the bus cost will be determined by the number of participants with payment made through FACTS once routes have been established.

Library Book Return

Reminder for all students! If you have not already done so, please return your school library books at one of our drop-offs, either May 1 or May 15. Contact Ms. Kleyer at lindseyk@stalbert.org with any questions!

Stewardship Form 2020-2021

We are still collecting the Blue Stewardship Forms that went home in early March. There are several ways to turn in these forms via email (office@stalbert.org), Fax (502-394-9896), drop-off in the black Security mailbox on the wall outside of the Parish Office, or in the next schoolwork dropoff. If you need an additional copy of this Stewardship Form, it is attached here. Thank you.

TinySaints Fundraiser Up Date!

Our TinySaints Fundraiser has moved online! If you have already purchased TinySaints through one of our St. Albert Youth or the Youth Ministry Office, there is no need to redo your order. I will be placing that order at the end of the month, as originally intended.

If you haven't ordered, now is your chance. Shop through the link for St. Albert to get the credit for your purchase.

You can also share the link with your friends and family and they can order even if they don't live close. All of these orders will be shipped to the person who ordered them directly. (Orders placed with me already will come to the parish office.)

Any profit made will go into our Mission Trip Fundraising Budget. If it is not able to be utilized this year, the money raised will be used for the Summer 2021 Mission Trip.

A Message from YOUR PTO

We hope everyone is staying healthy and continuing to manage during these difficult times. We are moving forward the best we can and are adjusting to the changes in the school year. Our hearts go out to our eighth grade students and their families and we understand this has had a huge impact on the end of their St. Albert careers. We hope as this crisis comes to an end we can send them on to their future endeavors in a manner that they are so deserving of. As we move forward, our plans are to honor our teachers and staff for all of their dedication and hard work. To show our appreciation we will be distributing gift cards in lieu of events that we had originally planned for the end of the school year.

Sincerely,

Chris Wahl

PTO President

--- FROM YOUR SPORTS MINISTRY ---

SPORTS Cancelled

All remaining CSAA spring and summer sports for the 2019-2020 season are officially canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We will do everything in our power to resume normal CSAA sports activities in the fall of the 2020-2021 school year.

While planning for sports in the fall, we will continue to monitor the health crisis and adhere to any mandates from the Archdiocese of Louisville, CDC, local government, and federal authorities.

Reimbursements for spring sports will be coming in the next couple of weeks. Please be patient. We have one person with the ability to process these. Stay safe and we hope to see you sooner rather than later.

The End.
