Senior Privileges
2025-2026
With the approval of a parent or guardian, seniors may apply for certain privileges that are not available to underclassmen. These privileges are contingent on maintaining appropriate behavior and may be withheld or suspended at any time, at the discretion of the principal. Decisions regarding the suspension of privileges will be made on a case-by-case basis. If a student is approved for these privileges, the following rules must be followed.
Students must have signed parental permission to be granted Senior Privileges, even if they are over 18 years old. (Note: See F18)
Students must have completed 20 hours of community service before the start of their senior year. After completing the 20 hours, students may reapply for senior privileges.
Students who failed a course in the previous marking term are not eligible for these privileges until they maintain a 2.5 GPA at the end of the first six weeks of the semester.
First check: Oct. 2; Second check: March 20
Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher by the end of the sixth week of the semester. Students who fall below a 2.5 in a class will have their senior privileges suspended until their grade(s) are 2.5 or higher.

Students must have two (2) or fewer unexcused absences during the previous 10 weeks
First 10-week check: Oct. 31; Second 10 weeks: Jan. 16; Third 10 weeks: April 3
Students must have two (2) or fewer unexcused tardies during the previous ten weeks.

Students must have ZERO (0) “skips” during the previous ten weeks.

Seniors with no assigned classes at the beginning of the day may sign in before their
first class. However, seniors signing in later than their first class will be considered tardy.
Seniors with no assigned classes during the day cannot sign out without senior privileges. Seniors with no assigned classes at the end of the day are allowed to sign out early.
If you are released from school under this program, you must leave the school grounds directly after your last class. You are required to sign out of the building before leaving. No loitering on school grounds will be tolerated. This includes visits to other schools.
First offense: 2-week suspension
Second offense: 30 days or the remainder of the semester, whichever is longer.
Third offense: Senior Privileges are revoked.
Eligible seniors are permitted to leave school grounds for lunch. Students must sign out/in of the building when leaving and returning. Please note that students are expected to arrive in their classes on time (see #5).
Seniors who take underclassmen, or knowingly take seniors who do not have senior privileges, off-campus will lose their privileges.
First offense: 2-week suspension
Second offense: 30 days or the remainder of the semester, whichever is longer.
Third offense: Senior Privileges are revoked.
In every respect, Senior Privileges shall be considered a privilege and a responsibility. Any student whose actions demonstrate they are incapable of assuming this responsibility will lose their privileges, and their parent or guardian will be notified.
If eligible seniors have no class immediately after their lunch period, they may remain off school
grounds until the beginning of their next class.
Administration reserves the right to revoke Senior Privileges if it is determined to be in the student’s best interest.
