Welding A30 is an advanced-level course designed for students who want to further develop their welding skills and knowledge. The course focuses on precision oxy-acetylene cutting, intermediate electric arc welding, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) techniques, ensuring students can produce high-quality welds with increased accuracy. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of iron and steel production, as well as workplace skills and employability expectations. The course also includes opportunities to complete welding projects and refine techniques.
Welding B30 is an advanced-level course that builds on previous welding skills, with a focus on oxy-acetylene cutting, electric arc welding, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Students will refine their welding proficiency by performing high-quality oxy-acetylene cuts, completing advanced welding projects, and achieving arc welds capable of passing a bend test.
The course also introduces soldering and brazing techniques, allowing students to explore different welding applications and their scientific principles. GMAW training will continue with safety, equipment maintenance, and advanced procedures, preparing students for a variety of welding tasks and projects.
