Core modules focus on building layout, foundations, floor and wall framing, and more complex woodworking projects. Students also have the opportunity to explore introductory cabinet making and participate in work-study placements, gaining hands-on industry experience. This course enhances technical skills while preparing students for potential careers in construction and carpentry, providing valuable insight into real-world applications of the trade.

Construction and Carpentry 30 is an advanced-level course that refines students’ skills in residential construction, woodworking, and industry-standard techniques. Core topics include alternate building materials, roof framing, stair construction, and finishing processes for both interiors and exteriors. Optional modules allow students to explore cabinet making, window and door installation, and insulation methods. Work-study placements provide real-world experience, and students also investigate apprenticeship opportunities in Saskatchewan. This course prepares students for careers in the construction industry or further education in skilled trades, emphasizing both technical expertise and workplace readiness.
