Construction and Carpentry 30 is an advanced-level course that refines students’ skills in residential construction, woodworking, and industry-standard techniques. Core topics include alternate building materials, roof framing, stair construction, and finishing processes for both interiors and exteriors. Optional modules allow students to explore cabinet making, window and door installation, and insulation methods. Work-study placements provide real-world experience, and students also investigate apprenticeship opportunities in Saskatchewan. This course prepares students for careers in the construction industry or further education in skilled trades, emphasizing both technical expertise and workplace readiness.
