Pottery introduces students to working with clay through hands-on studio practice and creative planning. Students learn techniques such as handbuilding, wheel throwing, glazing, and firing while developing artistic skills, creativity, and an understanding of the ceramic process.
Students can expect many days in the Clay Studio, but also in the classroom, researching and planning clay projects.
This class is continuation of Pottery 10. The student will experience all processes that are needed for successful ceramic projects including planning, researching, creating with handbuilding and wheel throwing, bisque firing, glazing, sculpture building, and finishing. Students can expect spending many days in the Clay Studio, but also in the classroom working through the creative process. If you enjoyed Pottery 10, this class is the next step.
This class will focus on taking pottery to the next level in the student's life now and into future. Planning and implementing chosen projects is a priority. There will be many days spent in the Clay Studio, but also in the classroom working on oraganization, time management and creativity in order to make original clay designs. If you enjoyed Pottery 10 or Pottery 20, this is the class for you.
