Welcome from our Sixth Form Leadership Team
Headteacher - Liz Wood
"Our school vision is simple: we want to be the best version of Sprowston Community Academy that we can be.
We see our Sixth Form Students as the epitome of this vision in that they are role models for all others to follow, demonstrating a strong desire to succeed, showing leadership, kindness and generally being the beating heart of the wider school community."
Head of Sixth Form - Mel Kersey
"Our Sixth Form is built on excellent, supportive relationships. Every student is fully supported on their journey, both academically and pastorally.
Academic excellence is the core of our mission. We are dedicated to nurturing a culture of learning and achievement, providing students with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential and prepare them for a bright future.
Our 'work hard, play hard' culture is the driving force behind all that we do. Although our main focus is high achievement, we recognise the value and importance of experiences outside the classroom.
The Sprowston Sixth Form Curriculum is filled with many engaging enrichment opportunites to develop personal skills, give back to the community and activities to enjoy and share with friends."
Deputy Headteacher - Mr Parker
"Our curriculum is built each year as a bespoke offer specifically to cater for the choices the students make on Help You Choose. Building the timetable this way is not the easiest option for us because each year the curriculum changes, however it does truly reflect our vision as a school to prioritise the needs of the students. What we ask therefore is that students are open, honest and candid about their Sixth Form choice, so that we can ensure we prioritise our curriculum and timetable for those who are going to join us."
