Enrichment Programme

All Year 12 students receive a hour a week of timetabled enrichment. During this hour students receive a tailored programme that focuses on personal development, understanding ethical issues, charity and community projects and life skills.

Personal Development

The aim of our personal development programme is to equip students with skills and strategies they can use in their education and beyond. Students will learn how to recognise, understand and support their own mental health. They will receive guidance on sexual health and relationship advice. As well as covering topics including dealing with issues surrounding knife crime and substance abuse.

Ethical issues

Students will be challenged to consider and debate key topics that are present today. The focus is to give students the opportunity to  broaden and enhance their own codes of belief by considering a wide range of religious, philosophical, psychological, sociological and ethical issues.

Charity and community projects

Students will organise and lead on key charity events such as Children In Need, which culminates in a week of fund raising leading events for the whole school. Through a social action project, student's decide on projects that will help and enhance the local community or support community members. 

Life skills

Students are given the opportunity to develop some practical key life skills such as changing a tyre, wiring a plug and cooking on a budget.
