Some of the long term impacts where how Josef Mengele made people look more into twin studies and genetics, but due to how immoral his studies were deemed, people bypassed much of his studies, even though they proved parts of the identical–fraternal twin comparison, but it set twin studies back for some time. This has helped scientists understand more between genetics work with fraternal and identical twins.
