Kami

Kami is a tool primarily for adding hand-written and other notations on PDF documents. Students can open the files in their Chromebooks and use Kami's Toolbar to add notations.

Students will find the Kami tool in the top right of the Chromebook browser. It will look like the logo to the left.

Syncing Kami to Google Drive

Kami can automatically save annotations to documents, but you must turn this feature on in Kami settings.

NOTE: Kami will work offline, but you must keep your page open until you reconnect to the internet.

  1. Open Kami by clicking on the Kami icon in to top right corner OR going directly to the Kami website.
  2. Login using your Google account.
  3. Click your initials in the top right corner.
  4. Click "settings."
  5. Scroll down to the section that says "Settings" and check the following (You will need to allow access at each step.):
    • "Automatically Save My Changes to Google Drive."
    • Install Google Drive
    • "Automatically upload opened files to Google Drive."
