iPad Backup

You have two primary ways to backup files and data from your iPad: iCloud and Google Drive.

iCloud:

You access your iCloud data with your Apple ID. You can change the email connected to your Apple ID, allowing you to access your iCloud account with a personal email address.

Google Drive:

You access your Google account with your email address and network password. However, once you leave Spartanburg 2, you will no longer have access to files in your Google Drive. For this reason, you need to backup your Google files in one of the below ways if you want to access them after you leave Spartanburg 2.

To move your Google Drive content, you may use one of these methods.

    • Download files on a computer. Save on a personal computer, a flash drive, or upload to a personal cloud storage account, like a personal Google Drive account. (Create one here. ) You can download entire folders and all of their contents at one time.
    • Share documents with a personal Google account. Use the "Make a Copy" feature to make an exact copy in your personal account. (Simply sharing is not enough, as access to the documents will eventually go away. Also, Ownership cannot be changed from accounts inside Spartanburg 2 to an account outside of Spartanburg 2.)
    • Copy and paste the contents of files into something else. Example: copy and paste the contents of a Google Doc into a Word document. Be sure to save the Word file on a personal computer or a flash drive.
