Aside from its identity as the pinnacle of minivans (Honda Odyssey) and its literary definition as a long journey full of adventures (Matt Damon), the term odyssey means a series of experiences that give knowledge or understanding to someone.
And so, the term odyssey will be used in this class to describe alternative assignments that you can complete in order to gain knowledge or understanding about a topic that interests you.
What is an Odyssey?
Each Odyssey will feature a generic template that you can use to complete the task.
Career and College Readiness (CCR): Odysseys were created with student interests in mind. As such, a sample career is included with each Odyssey.
Odysseys are not meant to replace the regular class assignments and are therefore valued less for similar amounts of work (sometimes we will use an Odyssey template for classwork though).
