Together Tales: an In-Person Inclusive Family Storytime
Occurrence: Monthly
Day and Time: 1st Tuesday of the month, 11:00am-12:00pm
Description: This is a special storytime for our special needs families. Here at the Holmes Public Library we want a safe inclusive space for all of our children. (Fasick & Holt, 2013) We will sing songs, tell stories, and adapt our activities for all of our participants.
Our Together Tales Storytime consists of 30 minutes of books, songs, and activities to encourage involvement. Then another 30 minutes of free play time, where we bring out toys and manipulatives for the children. Registration is required, and can be done online or in person. Registration is limited to the first 20 registrants, but there will be a wait list for those interested once registration is full.
Staffing: 1 librarian to run storytime. 1 or 2 part time staff will assist with set up and clean up.
Budget: $300 yearly to maintain the toy collections. Centralized purchasing will ensure our collection is up to date for books and materials. We will utilize some toys we have on hand and supplement our regular storytime toys when appropriate to do so.
Snooze and Stories: Pajama Storytime Fun
Occurrence: Weekly
Day and Time: Tuesday, 7:00pm-7:30pm
Description: Get ready to cozy up in your favorite pajamas for an evening of enchanting tales at our "Snooze and Stories" pajama storytime! Join us at the Holmes Public Library for a magical journey through the world of books as we embark on adventure together.
Children of all ages are invited to bring their cuddliest stuffed animals, comfiest blankets, and coziest pajamas as we settle in for a night of storytelling delight.
Our Snooze and Stories Storytime consists of 30 minutes of books, songs, and activities. Registration is required, and can be done online or in person. Registration is limited to the first 50 registrants, but there will be a wait list for those interested once registration is full.

Budget: Centralized purchasing will ensure our collection is up to date for books and materials.
Family Game Night
Occurrence: Twice Monthly
Day and Time: 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, 4:00pm-6:00pm
Join us for a night of fun and games at our Family Game Night extravaganza! Bring the whole family for an evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and exciting adventures as we gather together for a memorable gaming experience.
From classic board games to modern favorites, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Challenge your family and friends to a game of strategy, test your luck in a thrilling round of chance, or team up for cooperative gameplay that will have you working together to achieve victory.
Don't worry if you're new to gaming - our friendly staff will be on hand to help you learn the rules and get started on your gaming journey. Plus, we'll have a variety of games available for all ages and skill levels, ensuring that everyone can find something they love.
So mark your calendars, gather your loved ones, and get ready for a night of family fun at the library!

Budget: Initial $300 for the purchase of games. $100 annually to replace damaged or broken games as needed.
