iPads & Apple Pencils

As part of the iFisher Next Generation Learning Initiative, the University deploys iPads to the campus community. To find out who qualifies for an iPad, click the link above. Below are a number of resources to support the effective use of these devices for teaching and learning purposes.

Undergraduate Students: new Undergraduate students will typically receive their iPad during the beginning of their first semester.

Faculty/Staff: the Fisher Apple Academy provides an opportunity to learn new skills and become comfortable with the iPad. Find upcoming Apple Academy sessions on the Workshops & Events calendar. 

Faculty

iFisher Appy Hour:  With the goal of supporting continuous exploration of the use of iPads and the vast array of apps, iFisher Appy Hour events are held once per month during the fall and spring semesters

Fisher Apple Academy: The Fisher Apple Academies provides faculty with the skills to use iPads in the teaching and learning process. Check our workshops and events page for upcoming offerings. 

The Apple Community Learning Center is also a great place to visit to stay up to date with the latest features and releases that become available. There are a series of additional training modules, above and beyond those included in the Fisher Apple Academy, that you can explore to enhance and grow your skillset.

Using Apple Classroom: Create, add students, use Classroom, and end class on your iPad. 

For Staff

There is a lot of power under the hood of your iPad.. With your keyboard and your apple pencil turn your iPad into a miniature workstation.
