ITEC Classrooms

Instructional Technology Enhanced Classroom, or ITEC for short, is used by OIT as a general term for classroom technology that is built into the instructor podium within each classroom on campus.

Orientation to Classroom Technologies & Best Practices

An orientation to classroom technologies & best practices is offered before the start of each semester. This workshop will review how the technology can be utilized to support learning from the classroom setting. Knowledge of the functions of the equipment will be a benefit to all who use classrooms for instruction as well as others presenting from a classroom.

The workshop includes best practices for teaching from the classroom including, but not limited to:

  • ITEC equipment including: computer, projector, apple tv, document cameras, interactive whiteboards, audio source, etc...

  • Use of other technologies like: YuJa, Zoom, Google Drive, etc...
