Oriental Bittersweet leaves have turned bright yellow, exposing them, in an almost leafless woods for easy removal.
Fall is a good time to get after this invasive vine, while planning for welcome replacements.
Tomorrow is Seed Sharing Day, sponsored by the Land Conservancy of McHenry County. What a great time to get together collecting and sharing for a fall seed sow.
I plan to overseed the north slope of the ravine with a dry mesic, short grass prairie mix of what is available.
I hope to bring home side-oats gramma, little bluestem and assorted forbes.
The weather will be sunny, dry and cool- yeah!
