2014 May 24 - Prairie Blooms

There are rewards for walking the prairie this time of year: prairie smoke, wild blue indigo, columbine and blue-eyed grass are in bloom.

Sweet Cecily are beginning to bloom in the woods, as are false Solomon seal.

Today 2 cedar waxwings were sharing the blooms of the black cherry tree in the early morning light- I missed the shot, it was perfect.
