Oregon is a state located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is the 9th largest state at 98,381 square miles and the 27th most populated with over 4 million residents. It was admitted in the U.S. as the 33rd state in 1859. It is a very geographically diverse state, having volcanoes, an abundant of bodies of water, dense every and mixed forests, and high deserts and semi-arid shrub lands.
