Idaho is a state located in northwestern region of the United States. It is the 14th largest state at 83,642 square miles and the 39th most populated with over 1.6 million residents. It is the 7th least densely populated of all the U.S. states. It became the 43rd state in 1890, prior to that it was considered part of the Oregon Country. Idaho contain several stretches of the Rocky Mountains and 38% of the land is held by the U.S. Forest Service, which is the most of any state.
