Bullying

At Waldorf?

Q. Is bullying a problem at Waldorf schools?

A. Waldorf schools usually provide safe environments for children. However, there have been numerous reports of serious bullying at Waldorf schools. In some cases, Waldorf teachers apparently turn a blind eye to bullying because they believe a) children must fulfill their karmas, which may include the need to bully or to be bullied, and/or b) the students' guardian angels will provide all the protection the children need.

Waldorf schools sometimes host seminars and other events meant to address the problem on bullying. Yet the problem has seemed to persist.
