Mandy Dance has kindly analysed the Breed Records Supplement for Summer 2017 and here are the figures for Mini Wire litters:
53 litters producing 199 puppies, of which 4 litters were unsafe (parents untested or carrier to untested), producing 14 puppies at risk of Lafora.
Of the remaining litters, 23 have both parents clear of Lafora and cord1 PRA. 26 litters have one parent who is untested or a carrier.
The trend is for untested bitches to go to clear dogs. It is essential that stud dog owners check the status of these "pet" Bitches coming to their dogs and we strongly recommend that breeders get their bitches tested.
