Here's the latest update to our Lafora Screening programme.
60 litters were listed in the Autumn 2016 Breed Records Supplement, of which 5 were from two untested parents, potentially producing 19 at risk puppies. Statistically, we would expect 2 of these to be Lafora Affected.
Apart from 2 of the safe litters, all were from Clear Stud Dogs; these two were untested dogs mated to Clear bitches. Over half the bitches used were either untested or Carriers which suggests many owners of bitches are relying on finding Clear stud dogs.
All the test results are available on the KC website so anyone wishing to research pedigrees can do this easily.
