Predictions

Overview

You can get predictions for a selected stop from various places in the app. Predictions auto-refresh every minute. If you navigate away from the app, predictions stop updating to conserve battery. When you return to the app, predictions auto-reload and continue to do so every minute. The prediction view generally looks like this:

1. Trek Name

This is the name of the Trek. By default it's based on the route, direction, and stop it's for, but you can rename Treks when you add them to My Treks.

2. Service Alert

If there is a service alert for the selected transit system, route, or stop, this icon appears. Click it to view a dialog with the service alert information.

3. Status

This shows when the predictions are loading, the last refresh time, and if the last update failed.

4. Route / Time

This row shows the route on the left and the estimated time of arrival on the right. The format of the time of arrival can be configured in the Settings.

If the vehicle is delayed, the alert icon appears on the left.

If the predicted time shown is based on posted schedule information, the time will be preceded by an asterisk (*).

At the end, the arrow indicates whether the vehicle is arriving (downward facing) or departing (upward facing).

5. Destination Stop

Shows the destination stop for this Trek, if one has been selected.

6. Trip ETA

If a destination stop has been selected, this shows the estimated time of arrival and trip time for the given vehicle.

7. Vehicle Info

Identifies the vehicle, if that information is available.

8. Destination

Shows the current vehicle's ultimate destination. This is only available if the transit system supports it and if it is enabled in the Settings.

Context Menu

Long-press on a Prediction under a Trek to bring up the Vehicle Options dialog with the following options:

Set Arrival Alert

Allows you to set an Alert for when this specific ride is arriving at the Trek's starting stop.

Set Destination Alert

Sets an Alert for when the selected ride is arriving at the Trek's destination stop.

NOTE: This will only be available if you've set a destination stop for the selected Trek (which you can only do if the transit system identifies vehicles arriving at a stop).
