I wrote this in April, 2003 after the passing of my good friend, Delpha. We still miss her. This is a remix made in September, 2013. The other voice is my friend Stacy Dulan.
Lyrics
There is no fear at the edge of the universe.
That is the message an old friend passed along.
I don’t know if it was real
But it had the right feel.
She sent it to me after she was gone.
There is no fear at the edge of the universe.
Clouds are parting on a little patch of blue.
I know I can’t remain
And I won’t see you again
So I’ll say goodbye and send my love to you.
When you find a chance to give your love, take it.
It’s a chance that comes along every once in a while.
You will find that in the end
You will always have a friend
Whose memory and spirit make you smile.
There is no fear at the edge of the universe,
But we find it at the center where we live.
We can’t make it go away
We must face it every day
And diminish it with all the love we give.
So when you find a chance to give your love, take it.
It’s a chance that comes along every once in a while.
You will find that in the end
You will always have a friend
Whose memory and spirit make you smile.
