Lyrics
I’m not a bank. I’m not GM. But
I’m in the tank just like them.
I went and got me in a jam.
But I see you’ve got money in your hand.
I bet the house. I spent it all.
I watched my 401-K fall.
Now you have bailout funds to spend.
Couple billion sure would make me well again.
So bail me out. Send some my way.
If you don’t there will be hell to pay.
Tell me that my check is in the mail.
‘Cause my lifestyle is just to big to fail.
You could buy a part of me.
Would be a fine return on equity.
Just like you bought those bogus instruments
For about a buck on fifteen cents.
And I could promise to reform.
Not sell my children before they’re born.
And with a brand new business plan
I could shake the box and rearrange the scam.
So bail me out. Send some my way.
I might even pay you back someday.
But for now there’s just such opportunity
In your greed, corruption and stupidity.
So bail me out. Send some my way.
If you don’t there will be hell to pay.
Tell me that my check is in the mail.
‘Cause my lifestyle is just to big to fail.
I know I should be doing time in jail
But my lifestyle is just to big to fail.
And my fantasy is just too big to fail.
And my ego is just too big to fail.
