Write a Lab Report on the salt/sugar water experiment completed in class. Follow the Lab Report Format handout.

Homework for Class 5
Use Dolbear's Law to measure the temperature with crickets on three separate evenings. Compare your findings with another thermometer, physical or online. Dolbear's Law: Count the number of chirps in 15 seconds, then add 40 to find the temperature in Fahrenheit.

Homework for Class 3
Follow the syllabus for readings/practice problems and complete the assignment below:
Using a single sheet of paper and a graphite (gray) pencil, sketch a tree, including a zoomed-out picture of the whole thing, a close-up of a leaf, and close-ups of two of the following: flower, nut, seed, and bark. Do not include any words on the page, except the biological name of the tree if you are able to identify it.

Follow the syllabus (attached below) for readings/practice problems and complete the assignment below.
Spend 20 minutes outside before sunrise (around 7:10 right now). Bring a journal and write about things you see, hear, or smell. Write about five or more things, spending a at least one full sentence on each. Avoid distractions like music or electric lights. Coffee or tea is allowed. Bring the journal to class next week. (I did this on Monday before classes to make sure it's safe.)
