In observance of Domestic Violence month, Stoneham Alliance Against Violence (SAAV) will be hosting The Clotheslines Project on Saturday October 16, 2010 from 12- 3 pm at the Stoneham Town Common.

The Clothesline Project is a visual display that bears witness to domestic violence against women. During the public display, a clothesline is hung with shirts decorated to represent a particular experience, by the survivor or by someone who cares about them. The purpose of the project is to recognize the survivors as well as the victims of violence and to educate society on domestic violence. It is also an opportunity to help with the healing process for people who have lost a loved one or are survivors of violence.
