WHIP HILL PARK - GS BIRD FEEDER TREE DECORATING EVENT
If you can't make the Town Common Tree Lighting/Caroling event with the Girl Scouts this year, or just want some more holiday fun, join us at Whip Hill Park to decorate the trees with bird feeders for the winter, and enjoy some hot chocolate and maybe even some songs. The Whip Hill Christmas Event starts at 2pm the same day, if you want to stay and visit with Santa and tour the decorated historic house.
Make a simple bird feeder out of a pine cone, bagel, orange or anything else you can think of! ( instructions attached) and bring it with you that day. Your decorated bird feeder will be seen by everyone who comes up that day to the Open House event at Whip Hill, as it perches on one of the trees on the walkway to the main house! The birds will be very happy too! This is something you could make as a troop, or do with your family.
The attached flyer has more information. I have plenty of pine cones and yarn for anyone that needs some.
Patches will be given to girls who return their forms by the Dec 1st deadline.
