Shorewood Drama Jr. would not exist if it weren't for the love and support and patience of the players' families.
Many of those family members have supported us through monetary contributions, however, there is a core group of moms, quite a few dads, many siblings, cousins, at least one or two grandmothers and even a niece and brother-in-law who have contributed their time and talents to our endeavors.
The "Drama Mamas and Daddios" (a name borrowed from the high school drama department) have rolled up their sleeves and sewn or designed costumes; painted scenery; lent a household item as a prop; fed us at cast parties; sold tickets; helped in publicizing our productions; stuck around to help strike our set, costumes, and props after the closing of a performance; and even edited and produced several music videos.
To those who have helped us in any capacity, we say thanks again.
Without your help, SDjr. would never have become the success it is today.
You all are truly "SUPERFANS!"
To any of you interested in helping with our production in any capacity--from technical needs or chaperoning rehearsals or donating props and costumes to contributing food to the cast party or being part of the strike crew--
we never turn away help.
Please contact our "unofficial" chairperson of the "Drama Mamas & Daddios"
if you are interesting in helping in this manner.
