JANUARY

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
SPRING 2026
Stories where good conquers evil - Star Wars, The Lion King, or The Wizard of Oz and many others can be called morality plays. One movie in particular, a holiday classic called It’s a Wonderful Life, is one of the best examples of a morality play, or story, ever made into a movie. Our spring show is inspired by this movie, written and directed by Frank Capra and starring Jimmy Stewart as a family man in financial trouble on Christmas Eve. His troubling behavior and peace of mind has Heaven worried, so they send down his Guardian Angel, Clarence Odbody, to show him what the lives of the people he cares about most would be like if he "had never been born."
The main characters in Be Careful What You Wish For, like George Bailey, have come to their wit’s end. They have all encountered professional losses that have affected their self-worth and their view of their world. Because they have suffered a defeat, these four people don’t realize the importance of their lives. After uttering those fateful words, Clarence, now Head of the Guardian Angels sends some help to show these hurting folks that every person's life touches so many other lives and no person is a failure who has friends.
