Our first all-virtual show was a celebration of the U.S.A. and all the special anniversaries that occurred during 2020. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 many of those celebrations were canceled, put on hold, or done on-line - as was the fall 2020 Drama Jr. show.
Americanarama celebrated...
In addition there were tributes to the musical and creators of West Side Story, the history and importance of Juneteenth Day, Native American myths, and iconic Americans like Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, and Wataru Misaka.
Our cast members were given the script to each of these vignettes. Costumes and props were collected and distributed to them at their homes. Each student, with help from siblings, parents or other family members recorded their separate scenes which were then sent to the five staff members/directors who edited them to create our full length show Americanarama. If you click on any of the vignette titles above, you'll be sent to that YouTube video. If you enjoyed watching them, you can watch the full show by clicking on the logo below.
